Volunteer:
Volunteers are the lifeblood of non-profit organizations and ours is no exception. We need volunteers to feed and groom horses, clean stalls, train horses and spend time enjoying the companionship of horses.
The photos below show some of our volunteers:
Volunteer Savannah Marten
Savannah is a natural horsewoman (kid) at 12 years of age. We made her head trainer of the miniature horses, because she takes horses with issues and turns them into compliant animals who want to do anything we want them to do.
It’s common for Savannah to come out and work with horses for 12 or more hours a day. If she had her choice, she’d train horses all day long every day. She’s an excellent athlete who loves animals. And she works hard doing any task we ask from mucking stalls to worming horses or running the obstacle course training horses. She does it all.

Terrence Lewis is the strong man of our operation. He is a disabled verteran from the Gulf War who helped us with our upcoming veterans’ equine therapy program. But now that we need manual laborers at the stables, he does a lot of hard work for us. He leveled all of the stalls and put stall mats in each of them. He carries all of our hay and most of our grain. When we moved from the stable in Arlington to other locations, he loaded an entire truck with the help of a couple of our teen volunteers and moved everything. There is no task to heavy for Terrence. He has a big heart and strong arms.
Volunteer Mike Moss
Mike Moss became a volunteer for White Bridle when he facilitated the donation of 10,000 pounds of oats for our horses. We got to know Mike better and realized that he has a huge heart for volunteerism especially when it comes to kids. He now volunteers for our equine assisted therapy program and is a huge asset to our organization. He’s a natural with kids, and he has a lifetime of horse experience, so we are grateful to have him in our organization.

Adriana is a lover of horses and a hunter jumper student who is now working on her horsemanship skills and is learning how to care for horses. She has ridden horses all of her life and knows them very well from atop. Now that she is down near their feet it is a whole new world for her. And we are enjoying our time spent with her. Very soon she will be caring for our horses and helping with our fundraising efforts.

Volunteer Samantha Baker
Samantha is an industrious 11-year old with a bright future. She designed a powerpoint presentation for the Quarter for a Horse campaign and is our spokesperson for the campaign. She has her own web page (Kid Zone) to talk about our plans and share stories. We are thrilled to have Samantha on board.

Volunteer Carolyn Sandstrom
Carolyn is a photographer from Canada who discovered us through the internet and contacted us to volunteer for us. She now creates art quality ‘thank you’ cards for us and canvas prints that we auction off at events. She’s turned out to be a great friend even though we haven’t ever met. We’re thankful for Carolyn’s help and support.

Volunteer Nancy Addison
Nancy has volunteered for over a year and is a regular rider for our organization. She has ridden Rapido, Sangria, Next Step, Navarre and Jose; and she is excellent at exercising the horses and feeding them lots of treats.
