Therapy Horses:

We presently have 13 therapy horses. Eight of them are miniature horses that participate in our equine assisted recreational therapy program that takes place on Saturdays during nice weather at Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie.


Over the Christmas holiday, 2010, we drove to Missouri and picked up Red Moon, a very rare
Kerry Bog pony that was donated to us by Thornapple Farms in Vermillion, Ohio.  Red has turned into an amazing pony, and we’re breaking him for riding and then will send him out for cart driving training in December, 2011.

Our 4 full-sized horses slated for therapy work in a program that we’re developing for women who are rebuilding their lives.  We’ve enlisted equine assisted therapy pioneers, Drs. Deborah Adele  McCormick to create a program for White Bridle as a certification program for licensed professionals and lay people.  This program will have elements for both therapeutic riding and ground work.  Stay tuned for exciting updates on this new program.
