If anyone reading this knows of someone who wants to provide scholarship money, that would be great.  Every bit helps.  Please contact me at samantha@whitebridle.org if you want to help me raise money for the program or have ideas for me.

My name is Samantha Baker, and I’m a 12 year old volunteer for White Bridle.  A year ago, I  created a Power Point presentation for White Bridle’s “Quarter for a Horse” campaign.

This fall I’m going to launch a new campaign to help raise money for scholarships for special needs children.

My cousin, Andre, has autism, and I want to do things to help him and other children with special needs.

My name is Savannah Marten, and I’m 12 years old, and I’m an avid horsewoman.  I train horses and help care for some of White Bridle’s horses.  I also volunteer for the equine assisted program and work with kids with special needs.

I like working more than going to school, and I recently became the Lead Kid Trainer of the minis;  I love horses so much that I spend every vacation and break from school with White Bridle’s horses.

This summer I learned to cart drive minis to keep them in shape for the program.  Recently, Samantha started cart driving also; so we can drive together now.  Our goal is to  drive for a total of 150 hours, so we can receive our Junior certificates for our cart driving.  This will make us more valuable volunteers, and better horse handlers.

We have a good time working with the program children and look forward to meeting some new children this fall in addition to seeing some of our old friends.

Here are some of our favorite photos from the program:
