Adoptable Horses:

RAPIDO: Rapido is an amazing  8 year old, gray Arabian gelding that bowed a tendon 3 years ago in an endurance race.  He’s now completely sound and has received additional training and is being ridden regularly. Rapido has a smooth, ground covering trot and is an elegant horse with a great disposition and enormous potential.

BELL:  ADOPTED.  Bell is a gentle giant with a huge canter.  He’s amazing under saddle but hasn’t been ridden regularly for a year.

He’s in foster care with someone who doesn’t ride, so he’s in pasture, but he needs a job and and a little additional training to learn neck reining.  He was in training for several months last year before coming back to us for the winter and then on to a foster care location.

We love Bell and think that he’s a soulful horse.

JOE: ADOPTED.  Joe is an 8 year old retired thoroughbred racehorse who’s one of the most beautiful horses that we’ve ever seen in addition to be very sweet natured.

He has an permanent racing injury in his left front leg that limits his abilty to be ridden, and he may be a “walk only” horse; so he’s being stalled over the winter and is receiving therapy for his ankle.  It appears to be healing, and he is galloping in the paddock when we put him out for exercise, so he’s feeling excellent these days.

We’re having a great time with Joe and love him immensely, but we would love for him to find a forever home.

JOSE:  Jose is a 4 year old appendix quarterhorse who’s been trained for neck reining and is being ridden regularly by his foster care giver who describes him as a wonder to ride.  We think that Jose is one of the sweetest, most playful horses that we own.

Jose had an accident as a yearling and can now only walk and trot under saddle, but he’s still a great ride.

BEAU: Beau came back to us after being in eventing training for over a year, and we sent him back into training for trail riding.  He developed a wobble in his right hock that is much better; but we don’t want him to be a jumping horse any longer; but he does ride both English and Western.

He moves beautifully and is a gorgeous, sweet horse; and we hope to find the right home for him.

Beau is a sweet wonderful horse, and deserves the best of homes.

ROCK:  ADOPTED.  Rock is a 12 year old quarter horse that was trail riding on a road near Lone Star Park one day until a truck and trailer sideswiped him and his rider.  His rider was completely fine, but Rock had some missing flesh on his left hindquarter region.

Rock never went lame, and the missing flesh miraculously regenerated.  He has a hairline scar to show from the incident.  AMAZING!

In the 10 weeks that Rock was confined to a stall during his recovery, he never once tried to rear or buck or do anything crazy.  He was a perfect horse except he was a little less confident as a result of his experience.

If you’re interested in a really calm, sweet horse, Rock is the horse for you.  He’s for an intermediate to experienced rider, because he needs to learn to trust again and bond with someone who will keep him away from trucks.  We named him “Rock” for a reason.  He’s great.
